O. Box 1179 Southold, NY 11971 Re~ Mary Zipkas SCTM #1000-45-4-6.1 Dear Mr/Krupski' - A' field inspection was made on the above referenced parcel to determine the presence of wetlands on the property and within 75 feet of the property boundaries. Subject property is located adjacent to and west of Billy's Bistro Restaurant. Subject parcel contains a house and shed. There is no question that the parcel has undergone disturbance and several apple trees are found in the backyard area. The vast majority of vegetation found on site is described as upland. These upland species include: beach, sycamore maple, spruce, bluestem grasses, pin oak, blackbeiry, flat topped goldenrod, fox grape, locust, ragweed, Virginia rose, raspberry and vine honeysuckle. Facultative wetland plants are limited to winterberry and red maple. Based upon the presence of these plants, it is concluded that no wetlands are present. The property lies beyond 100 feet from the large red maple swamp locally known as Moores Drain. Therefore, there is no need for the property owner obtain a Towm Trustee Permit nor a NYSDEC Freshwater Wetland Permit. Approximately, 300 feet west of subject property lies a _site formally used as a gas station. The site contains phragmites and Juncus effusus with the red ~naple swamp of Moores Drain lying in the backdrop. Please don't hesitate to call should you have further questions regarding this site. Sincerely, Bruce A. Anderson W. O. 50
