THE SPElCIAL EXCEJPTLON IS REJQUES'IED BECAUSE of the necessity of making the
general public aware of and directing them to the site of the
approved Par 3 Public Golf Course situate at Cutchogue, South of
the Main Road, in the Village of Cutchogue. It is intended that
the sign for which a permit to erect is requested, shall be well
within a defined limit of the ordinance, and constructed so as to
blend with the decor of the community.
That annexed hereto is a sketch setting forth the approxi-
mate site for the sign for wpich a permit is requested. Said sign
is designated on the attached sketch by the symbol "X". The follow-
ing is an explanation concerning the location of the sign and its
approximate dimensions
On the south side of Main Road on a 30 foot strip of land
lying east of Rogers Funeral Home. The sign on both sides will
have drawn thereon a golf ball with 3 Cedar Trees. Said sign will
also have inscribed thereon the following letters: "Cedars Golf
Club". Above the golf ball the following letters will appear in
proper proportion: "Open to public". On the side of the sign
facing west below the golf ball will be lettered "Next Right TUrn
at Village Green". On the side of the Sign facing east below the
golf ball there will be lettered "TUrn at Village Green". The
approximate size of the sign will be 5 feet in width by 3t feet in
height and the bottom of the sign will stand not less than 3 feet
off the ground.
That attached hereto is the consent of the owners of the
premises upon which application is made to erect the sign described
above.

a. This application must be completely filled in by typewriter or in ink and submitted in duplicate ta the Building
Inspector.
b. Plat plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets or
areas, and giving a detailed description of layout of propertymust be drawn an the diagram which is port of this application.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issue a Building Permit to the applicant. Such
permit shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the progress of the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose whatever until a Certificate of Occupancy
shall have been granted by the Building Inspector.
APPLICATION IS HEREBY MADE to the Building Department for the issuance of a Building Permit pursuant ta the
Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, and other opplicable Laws, Ordinances or
Regulations, for the construction of buildings, additions or alterations, or far removal or demolition, as herein described.

The undersigned being the owners of oertain real
property situate at CUtohogue, Town of Southold, Suffolk
County, New York, desoribed as follows:
1. A 3Dfoot strip of land on the south side of the
Main Road lying east of Rogers Funeral Home.
2. A parcel of land at the corner formed by the
west side of New Suffolk Lane and the north side of Cedars
Road, hereby authorize and give oonsent to CABERON PROPERTIES.
INC. to lawfully erect or place signs concerning the business
of said corporation on such portions of the above desoribed
premises as the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Southold
shall approve and permit. It 1s understood, however. that sa1d
CABERON PROPERTIES. INC. agrees to maintain signs 1n a good
state of repair, and to save the owners harmless from any 10s8,
cost or damages as a result of the erect10n, maintenance,
existence or removal of the same.

Gentlemen:
We note that application has been made for a sign on
a right-of-way south of the Main Road at Cutchogue between
land of Rogers on the west and land of Merdo on the east.
This right-of-way is part of the Osborne farm devised
under the will of George H. Case to his daughter, Lizzie
Horton,for her life and on her death to his son,Frank Case.
The will provides for a right-of-way on the west side of
the farm for ingress and egress and further states "neither
my daughter nor my son, Frank Case, shall in any way inter-
fere with the said right-of-way as above described during
the lifetime of my daughter, Lizzie Horton".
We have been requested by Lizzie Horton, the life
tenant, to object to this application and ask that it be
dismissed for lack of proper consent.
