I improved this old barn and made two units of same for use with cottage. There were no new structures added or the arc, increased only different use of existing structures and the same use as previous. STRICT APPLICATION OF THE ORDINANCE would produce practical difficulties or unneces- sary HARDSHIP because the aid barn vas uneconomical and its best use vas as an e×~ension of the ten%al cottage. 2. The hordshipcreatedis UNIQUE andisnotshored by all prope~ies alike in the immediate vicinity ofthis pr~e~y and inthisuse district becausethese were existing buiidings in use as ~en~als with old barn~ the best use for which was as an extension of the rental cottage. 3. The Variance would obse~e the ~irit of the O~inance and WOULD NOT CHANGE THE CHARACTER OF THE DISTRICT becau~ the outline of the buildings was the same before and after the conversion~ the only difference is inside where %wa rental units were made out of the ±n~erior of an old barn which was improved as ~o appearance by having asbestos shingles appl±ed to the cot~age~ %he garage and ~he old barn~ all of which are attached as s~a%ed above.
