Re: Permit # 4010/Dock at 1425 Gull Pond Lane, Greenport, NY
Gentlemen:
I am the current owner of subject property and herewith request that the subject
dock permit be transferred to my name or a new one issued to me.
I have attached a survey, which depicts the dock as it was at the time I purchased
the property. All else remains the same with the exception of the staircase leading from
the top of the bulkhead up to the rear yard. This has been removed and regraded in
conformance with the permit # 5969A, which you granted me on August 18, 2004.
Enclosed please fred a check for $50, which I understand to be the fee for the
dock permit txansfer.

I herewith request that I be granted permission to replace the wood decking on my
dock at subject premises.
I request that I may remove decking as it is suffering from surface degradation
and has become hazardous to walk on both from a splintering and slippery surface
standpoint.
I plan to replace the surface with Trex planks of the same dimensions. These
planks will be precut upland, well away fix~m the waterfront. They will be installed with
stainless deck screws to provide for a long-term solution.
Trex is a polymer/wood fiber substmte, which is commonly used in this application. It
has no harmful preservatives and does not absorb moisture hence no leaching should
Occur.

Re: Permit # 4010/Dock at 1425 Gull Pond Lane, Greenport, New York
Gentlemen:
22, 2005
Per your March 17, 2005 inspection of subject dock as it relates to the transfer of subject permit to
me; you have indicated to my agent, Charles Sidorowicz that the subject permit allows for a 6' x 70'
dock anchored by (4) 12" x 16' piles, said dock being no closer than 15' from the northern and
southern property lines.
Presently the subject dock is 6' x 80'; severely askew to the property bulkhead, and encroaches
within 15' at the southerly property line (see survey attached). This condition has existed prior to
my purchase of this property. No condition or exception to my title was evinced at the time of my
purchase to indicate that a permit or violation there upon existed.
The above not withstanding I request without prejudice that I be allowed to rectify this situation to
meet the guidelines of the permit and to satisfy this board.
I herewith propose to shorten my dock from 80' to 70' while retaining the 6' width throughout.
Additionally I will reposition the (4) 12" X 16' poles to provide for the dock to be parallel with the
bulkhead at a distance of approximately 9 feet from the face of the dock to the bulkhead face. This
9' distance is the same as my present docks northerly point and places my dock in line with my
northerly and southerly contiguous neighbors whose docks corresponding distances are 10' and 8'
respectively. This adjustment will also allow that my dock be no closer than 15' from the northern
or southern property lines. I have enclosed a marked up survey indicating these changes.
I ask that you grant me these changes outlined above along with the transfer of permit and
resurfacing plan I requested on February 14, 2005 a copy of which I have attached.
