Gentlemen:
I am enclosing suryey of the house of my son Thomas
Wickham on West Creek AVenue, Cutchogue. You will note that
this house is but sixty feet from mean high water and yet it
stands at about twenty feet elevation in a densly wooded area.
You will also note that the proposed addition is no nearer the
water than the front of the house and, in fact, is completely
behind the terrace. -
Under the circumstances I would greatly appreciate it if
your permit requirements could be waived since I believe this
addition would in no way. viblate the spirit of your ordinance.
Sincerely yours,
John Wickham

Gentlemen:
I am enclosing Notice of Disapproval from the building
inspector and petition to your Board for a proposed addition
to the home of my son Thomas Wickham on West Creek Avenue in
Cutchogue.
He wishes to extend the enclosed porch all across the
front of his house as shown on the enclosed map by Van Tuyl.
You will note that no part of the proposed addition will be
closer to the Creek than the existing front of the house. In
fact it will be entirely behind the existing concrete flag-
stone terrace.
I would deeply appreciate a waiver of your permit re-
quirements since time is of the essence. We expect to do
the foundation and concrete work with our farm labor and it
must be done before they leave in mid-November. My son is
anxious to get everything completed before he returns from
Asia in late spring.
Sincerely yours
