POLICY: At scheduled Town Board meetings, the attending public is encouraged to briefly
address the Town Board relating to agenda resolutions prior to their enactment; the public will
also be given time at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled business agenda to address the
Board on any given topic.

V. RESOLUTIONS
Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to
speak on the following resolutions.
293. Accept the resignation of Jill Doherty from her position as a part time clerk typist for the
Zoning Board of Appeals.
294. Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to execute an agreement with individuals for the
summer 2003 recreation programs.
295. Appoint Derek Scroxton to the position of part time seasonal Deckhand for the Fishers
Island Ferry District.
296. Establish the rate of pay for Chief Building Inspector.
297. Accept the bid of Paul Corazzini & Sons to construct a tennis court and basketball court at
the Oysterponds Playground.
298. Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to sign an Agreement with Paul Corazzini & Sons
to construct a tennis court and basketball court at the Oysterponds Playground.
299. Authorize the expenditure of Community Development Block Grant Funds in the amount of
$75,000 for the Housing Rehabilitation Project at 1825 Carroll Avenue, Peconic.
300. Authorize the closure of Town roads on Saturday, July 5, 2003 during the Cutchogue-New
Suffolk Historical Council "Annual Antiques Show and Sale" on the Village Green.

Authorize Change Order #2 for the Brushes Creek Bridge Construction Project, allowing
for the substitution of a pre-stressed, post tensioned concrete deck system.
Ratify the Settlement Agreement and General Release dated April 10, 2003 between the
Town of Southold and a Town employee.
Appoint Frank Lyburt and Christopher Lappe, Jr. as Seasonal Police Officers for the 2003
season.
Appoint Rory Flatley, Todd Jackson, Jeffrey S. Biggs, Benjamin Brannon, Christian Conroy
and Jeffrey Weingart as Traffic Control Officers for the 2003 season.
Appoint David C. Zuhoski to the position of part time Guard (Gatekeeper) at the Solid
Waste District.
Accept the resignation of Harry Haralambou from his position on the Landmark
Preservation Commission and authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for the
position.
Grant permission to the Orient Fire Department to use Town roads for a Memorial Day
parade on May 26, 2003.
Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2003 budget to appropriate Park
& Playground funds for the Frank A. Kujawski Jr. Memorial on Downs Creek.
Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to execute the engagement letter from Albert,
Viggiano, Zureck & Co., P.C. for professional services related to the 2002 audit.
Appoint Susan E. Lusker to the position of part-time Home Health Aide on Fishers Island.
Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2003 budget for Programs for the
Aging.
Set the price for surplus unscreened sand from the landfill at $5.00/ton and surplus screened
gravel at $10.00/ton.
Authorize the Board of Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District to enter into
agreements with certain individuals and companies.
Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2003 budget for vehicle and
maintenance repairs at the Police Department.

315. Approve the extension of the leave of absence for a part time Minibus Driver at the Human
Resource Center.
316. Authorize a paid leave of absence using sick leave to a Town employee for approximately
one month.
317. Appoint certain individuals to the Fishers Island Ferry District positions.
318. Grant all part time personnel of the Fishers Island Ferry District a 3% wage increase.
319. Retain Kathleen M. Goggins to record minutes of the Board of Assessment Review during
their annual grievance proceedings.
320. Appoint Joshua Foley, Southold High School, to the BOCES Police Internship Program.
321 Accept the resignation ofKeith D. Griffith from the Anti-Bias Task Force and authorize and
direct the Town Clerk to advertise for the vacancy.

Determine that fees charged by the Town, including but not limited to the Planning Board,
Zoning Board of Appeals, Town Clerk, Board of Trustees and Solid Waste Management
District, shall not be waived for any special district, not-for-profit organization or public
entity, with the sole exception being fees that fees may be waived for projects involving
municipal clean-ups.
323. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2003 budget to appropriate funds
for the Fishers Island Fitness Trail.

Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to execute all necessary documents to retain
appraisals on the parcel of property known as SCTM #1000-96-1-11.1 from the firms of
Roger & Taylor and Patrick Givens.
325. Approve the waiver application for the minor subdivision of Ernest Schneider, SCTM
#1000-101-1-14.3.
