By resolution of the Board it was determined that (a) Strict application of the O~dinance (wou]d) (would not) produce practical d~fficnities or ,unnecessary hardship because SEE REVERSE (b) The hardship created (is) (is not) unique and (would) (would not) be shared by all properties alike in the immediate vi,cinity of this property and in the same use district because SEE REVERSE (c) The variance (does) (does not) observe the spirit of the Ordinance and (would) (~ould not) change the character of the district because SEE REVERSE and therefore, it was further determined that the requested variance ( ) be granted ( ) be denied and that the previous decisions of the Building Inspector ( ) be confirmed ( ) be reversed, ZONING BOA/~D OP APPEALS B~bara C. Dittmann, Secretary After,investigatio~ and inspection the Board finds that the appellant requests permission to retain a si~e wall sign. The appellant does not display a ground sign and agrees to forego his right to a ground sign and thus maintain the side wall sign. The sign on the side of the building is a series of whitle bowling bails that spells out BOWLING. Each letter is approximately eight inches in diameter. In general the Board is in agreement with the applicant as stated on the application to the Board of Appeals. The Board finds that the public convenience and welfare a~d justice will be served and the legally established or permitted use of neighborhood property .and',ad3oining use districts will not be permane_ntly~ or substantially injured and the spirit ~of ,the Ordinance will be observed.
