(E.D.S.T. ) , Upon application of Service Sign Erectors, Inc. , a/c Southold Dodge, Main Road, Southold, New York, for a special exception in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance, Article IV, Section 408, Subsection (a) , for permission to erect an on premises ground sign. Location of property: north side Main Road, Southold, New York, bounded north by F.H. Sayre east by F.H. Sayre, south by Main Road, and west by F.M. Blaschach. 2. Dittmann, Secretary Southold Town Board of Appeals I After investigation and inspection the Board finds that the applicant wishes to erect a pole sign. This sign will advertise the sale of "Dodge" automobiles and also idenify the applicant as a Dodge Dealer. This sign is part of a nationwide Chrysler Campaign, which requires one brand sign for all dealers. The Board finds that this sign will be located to the east of the building. The applicant already has one pole sign, however, the existing pole sign advertises the sale of Gulf gasoline. The Board points out that the erection of such a sign aids in the identification of the premises and is in the interest of the traveling public. The Board finds that the public convenience and welfare and justice will be served and the legally established or permitted use of neighborhood property and adjoining use districts will not be permanently . or substantially injured and the spirit of the Ordinance will be observed. Therefore, it was RESOLVED that Service Sign Erectors Co. , Inc. , a/c Southold Dodge, Main Road, Southold, New York, be granted permission to erect an on premises ground sign nn property located north side-Main Road, Southold, gew York, subject to the following conditions: 1. That the pole supporting this sign shall be located at least eight feet (8' ) jknorth of the present sidewalk. $. That this sign shall be located at least five feet (5 ' ) from any other property line.
