Smith - Variance Dear Mr. Cron= The above mentioned variance was scheduled for a hearing on July 22, 1965. Although we had verbal knowledge that your appli- cation was being withdrawn, we had nothing in writing. At the thne of the hearing, there were people present to speak against this application. Their reason for attending the hearing was because they knew of no formal withdrawal of the application on the part of the applicant. Ther,fore, in the future if you intend to withdrawn an application after it has been published. please notify this office by means of letter or some other means ~be used for a permanent record.
