ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
FORM ZB4 _- /7 /n
arbara C. Dittmann, Secretary
After investigation and inspection the Board finds that
the allell ant request permission to retain a sign on the
wall of his barn. This sign is presently used by Silver Sands
Motel for a directional sign. The sign has been in existance
for many years, however, there have been different uses for the
sign. In order for this sign to continue the sign must be used
only for directional purposes for those types of business that
are in the interest of the travelling public.
The Board finds that the public convenience and welfare
and justice will be served and the legally established or
pennitted use of neighborhood property and adjoining use
districts will not be permanently or substantially injured
and the spirit of the Ordinance will be observed.,,
Therefore, it was RESOLVED that. Joseph Krukowski,_ Main
Road, Southold,_ ew York, be granted permission to retain a
wall sign on proRerty located ,on the south sideof the Main
Road, Southold,- ew York, subject to the following conditions:
1. This sign shall be granted for one (1) year only, renewable
annually upon written application to the Board of Appeals.
2. This sign shall be subject to all subsequent changes in
the Southold Town wilding Zone Ordinance as it applies to higns.
3. This sign shall be no larger than four (4) feet by six fW
feet, or 24 square feet.
4. This sign shall be used only for directional purposes
for those types of business that are in the interest of the
travelling public.
5. It will be necessary when the advertiser is changed to
make a new application to the Board of Appeals for the location
f¢ the new sign.
6. In the event the sign is oversize, it must comply with
provision number 3 above by November 22, 1966.
