Dear Ms. Whatmough,
The.following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees
during its regular meeting held on October 27, 1994 regarding
the above matter:
WHEREAS, Jeanne Wh~tmough applied to the Southold Town Trustees
for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of
the Town of Southold, application dated August 1, 1994.
WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and
recommendations, and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with
respect to said application on October 27~ 1994 at which time
all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally Viewed and are
familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area,,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and
documentation submitted concerning this application, and,
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed
will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the
people of the town,
.NOW THEREFORE BE IT,
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approves the application of
Jeanne Whatmough to add a 15' X 22' covered porch and
reconstruCt a 6' X 13' entryway to existing dwelling. The
Trustees require the applicant to place hay bales between the
construction site and the wetlands area. The Trustees also
require drywells to contain runoff. Located 180 N. Riley
Avenue, Mattituck.
Permit to construct project will expire two years from the date
it is signed. Fees must be paid, if applicable, and permit
issued within six months of the date of this notification.
Two inspections are required and the Trustees are to be notified
upon completion of said project.

A meeting of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council was held
Thursday, October 20, 199/~. Present were CAC members Stephen Angell, Jack'
Hagerty, Patricia lsaksen, Allan Connell, and Betty Wells.
The following recommendations were passed:
RECOMMENDATION OF WETLAND APPLICATIONS
No. 1193
Moved by Patricia Isaksen, seconded by Stephen Angell, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVAL
of the Wetland Application of JEANNE WHATMOUGH 122-3-38 to reconstruct a
new entryway and porch; enlarging both and providing a roof over both
structures. Entry way 6 x 13; porch 15 x 22.

RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVAL
WITH PROVISIONS of the Wetland Application of EDWIN BERNHARDT 87-5-~
to replace 83 feet of existing bulkhead within 18".
The CAC recommends approval provided the applicant uses caution and
does not destroy spartina in front of the existing bulkhead and that a buffer
of spartina patens is planted in accordance with the Town Code.

The following action was taken by the Southold Town Board of
Trustees on August 25, 1994:
RESOLVED that the Southold Town Board of Trustees denies without
prejudice a waiver to add a 15' X 22' covered porch and
reconstruct a 67 X 13t entry way to existing dwelling and
request a full application including drywells and haybales.
Located 180 North Riley Ave., Mattituck.

DISAPPROVAL of the Waiver Request of JEANNE WHATMOUGH 122-3-38 to
add 15' x 22' covered porch and reconstruct 6' x 13' entryway.
The CAC recommends disapproval because the project is within 75' of the
wetlands and should be required to obtain a permit. The Council would
approve the application for a permit.

construct a single level deck approximately 880 s.f. (40' x 28').
The CAC recommends disapproval because the project is within 75' of the
wetlands and should be required to obtain a permit. The Council would
approve the project when it is submitted as a Wetland Application.

DISAPPROVAL of the request of Non-Jurisdiction of NICHOLAS DiCHIARO
59-1-21.5 to construct a house.
The Council strongly feels this project needs the full permit process.
