(E.D.S.T.), Upon application of Russell Tabor and Sons, Orient, New York, for a special exception in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance, Article X, Section 1003A, for~ permission to renew a farm labor camp permit grant_ed May 5, 196~.~ Location of property: east side Platt Road, Orient, New York bounded north by W.B. Karcher-V.T. Latham, east by R.W. Gillispi~e, south by G.W. ~allock, west by Platt Road, 2. VAI%IANCE. By resolution of the Board it was determined that ia) Strict application of the Ordinance (would) (would not) ~)roduce practical difficulties or unnecessary hardshi,p because SEE REVERSE lb) The hardship created (is) (is not) unique and (would) (would not) be shared by all properties alike in [he immediate vicinity of this prcgerty and in [he same use district because SEE REVERSE (c) The variance (does) (does not) obaerve the spirit of the Ordinance and (would) (~qould not) change the character of the district because SEE REVERSE and therefore, it was further determined that the requested -~arian:ce ( ) be granted ( ) be denied and that the previous decisions of the Building Iuspector ( ) be confirmed ( ) be reversed. ~ ZB4 After investigation and inspection the Board 'finds that the applicant requests permission to renew a labor camp permit granted May 5, 1966. The Board,finds that there has been no complaints concerning this camp, and to their knowledge, the police have never been called for disorderly conduct on the part of the laborers. The Board finds that there will be no changes in this camp for the year of 1967, and it will be operated in the same manner for the year of 1967. The Board finds &nd points out that the farmers must have individual labor camps since the closing of the Greenport Co-operative Labor Camp, which use to house a large number of laborers. The Board finds that the public convenience and welfare and justice will be served and the l~g~l~y estaBliShed or permitted use of neighborhood property and a~j~ining us~ districts will not be permanently or substan,tially injured and the spirit of the Ordinanc~ will be observed~ Therefore~ itwas RESOLVED Russel,1 Tabor and Sons, Orient, New York, be granted permission t~ renew a farm labor camp per- mit granted May 5, 1966, on property located on the east side Platt Road, Orient, New~ YOrk,~as applied for.
