The validity of this permit is or may be subject to the approval of other governmental or municipal
authorities. The Town accepts no responsibility in applying for or obtaining such approval. In the
'event that such approval is necessary, the holder of this permit shall not commence operations here-
· under until such approval has been obtained in writing. The failure to obtain such other approval when
required shall subject this permit to immediate revocation by the Trustees upon receipt by the
Trustees. of written notice from such other governmental or municipal authorities of its refusal or
disapproval.
The applicant does by the acceptance of this permit, assume all responsibility for operations under-
taken pursuant to this permit, and shall take all precautions for the prevention of injuries to persons
and property resulting from such operations. By such acceptance, the applicant also agrees to inaemni-
fy and save harmless the Town, and its officers, agents and employees from any and all claims arising
from operations under this permit and any and all acts or omissions of applicant, his agent and
employees.
The applicant and the owner and occupants of the premises upon which the operations authorized by
this permit are being conducted, do, by the acceptance of this permit, give consent to the Town, and
its officers and employees to enter upon the premises where such operations are being conducted to
make such inspections as the Town may deem necessary to insure that such operations are being con-
ducted in conformity with this permit.
This operation will not substantially:
A. Adversely affect the wetlands of the town.
B. Cause damage from erosion, turbidity or siltation.
C. Cause saltwater intrusion into the fresh water resources of the town.
D. Adversely affect fish, shellfish or other beneficial marine organisms, aquatic wildlife and vege-
tation or the natural habitat thereof.
E. Increase the danger of flood and storm-tide damage.
F. Adversely affect navigation on tidal waters or the tidal flow of the tidal waters of the town.
G. Change the course of any channel or the natural movement or flow of any waters.
H. Weaken or undermine the lateral support of other lands in the vicinity.
I. Otherwise adversely affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town.

Dear Mr. Shi!owitz:
The following action was taken by the Board of Trustees
at their regular meeting held on ~4ay 29, '1986 regarding the
above captioned matter:
Moved by Trustee Larsen seconded by Trustee Krupski
$~HEREAS, Stephen Shilowitz applied to the Southold Town Board for
a change of zone and
WHEREAS, Stephen Shilowitz applied to the Town Trustees for approval
for a bulkhead and-dredging prior to the amending of the Wetland
Ordinance and
WHEREAS, the Board members are familiar with the premises in
question and the surrounding area; and
WHEREAS the Board has considered all the documentation submitted
concerning this request; and
WHEREAS, the Board made the following.findings of.fact:
1. By this request, appellant requests a Waiver of the Wetland
Ordinance, Chapter 97, Article II, Section 97-22 for the construction
of Condomini~as on 6th Street, GFe'enport.
2. The property in question is located at the Southerly end of
Sixth Street, Greenport, New York as designated on the Suffolk County
Tax Map as District 1001, Section 007, Block 01, Lot 16.
In considering this request the Board finds and determines:
1. The project as proposed will not adversely affect the Wetlands
of the Town.
2. The project as proposed will not adversely affect the health,
safety and general welfare of the people of the Town,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED that Stephen Shilowitz be and hereby is.granted a Waiver of
the ~ettand Ordinance all in accordance with the plans and specificat:
submitted.

This waiver is given with the following..provisions:
1. Roof run off shall be discharged into'dry wells.

Parking areas within 75 ft~ of the Wetlands.shall be of
porous construction. Blacktop shall not bemused on this site.
Care shall be taken so as to preclude the e~ry of any
construction material into adjacent waters.-.
Immediately following construction, all areas of exposed
so~ shall be properly protected with suitable erosion
control devices and/or vegetated to prevent entry of eroded
soil into nearby waters.

Your recent request to extend the above referenced
permit has been reviewed at the Trustee Meeting. held on
April 24, ~986.
Your request has been approved by resolution, adopted
at this meeting, for a period of six months. Your permit
will expire on November 26, 1986.
This letter is an amendment to the original permit
and as such, shall be attached thereto.
Ail other terms and conditions remain as written in
the original permit.

The following aCtion was taken by the Conservation AdvisOry
Council at a regular meeting held Tuesday, October~23r 1984.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval of
the wetland application #-224 submitted by Mrs. June HuSsey to re-
place 100 feet of existing bulkhead. East Creek, Cu~chogue.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval
of the wetland application ~225 submitted by Stanley Chase to
install dock and ramp and float. Mattituck.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval
of the wetland application #226 submitted by Stanley Chase to
install dock, ramp and float secured by two spiles. Mattituck.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval
of the wetland application #227 to install dock, ramp and float
secured by two spiles. Dock to be elevated 3' over tidal wetlands.
Mattituck Creek, Mattiuck.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Tow~ Trustees approval
of the wetland application ~228 submitted by Eh-Consultants, Inc.
on behalf of Strong's Marine Center to construct retaining wall
and backfill. ?Approval is recommended on the condition that all
dredging done be at least 6 feet from existing spartina grass.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval
of the wetland application #229 submitted by Carlo DeGaudenzi to
construct bulkhead and install.floating dock, ramp and maintenance
dredge. Ole Jule Lane, Mattituck.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval
of the wetland application ~230 submitted by Latham Sand and Gravel
Inc, for Bess Pulitzer to repair bulkhead. Conditional approval
given providing any excavated areas where there is spartina grass
the grass must be replaced.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval
of the wetland application ~231 submitted by En-Consultants for
Stephen Shilowitz to replace existing bulkhead, dredge existing
upland to i0' below MLW with spoil to be placed on adjacent upland.
Install new bulkheading and floats. End of Sixth Street, Greenport.
RESOLVED to.recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval
of the wetland application #232 submitted by Eh-Consultants, Inc.
for Ludwig Becker-Hunt to construct timber dock consisting of fixed
elevated catwalk, ramp and float. Construct timber retaining wall
and returns. Jockey Creek, Southold.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval
of the wetland application ~233 submitted by Tosca Holding and
Realty Corporation to build groin. Huckleberry Hill, East Marion.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval
of the wetland application #234 submitted by Charles H. Thomas to
install a dock, Gardiners Bay, East Marion.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval
of the wetland application ~235 submitted by John S. Tessier to
maintenance dredge providing they do not deposit the spoil on
the east side, must be put on the west bank. Inlet to Spring Pond
from Orient Harbor, East Marion.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval
of the wetland application #236 submitted by Port of Egypt Ent., Inc.
C & L Realty, Incorporated to maintenance dredge along waterfront
at Port of Egypt Marine and C & L Realty (formerly Southold Fishing
Station). Greenport.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval
of the wetland application ~237 submitted by Eh-Consultants, Inc.
for John Newman to replace timber bulkhead and backfill. Remove
and replace pilings. Remove existing bulkhead and build new bulk-
head. Dredge basin. Install hinged ramp and floats. Install
rip-rap along deteriorated bulkhead. Sailor's Needle, Mattituck.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PERMIT
A. This application is to be completely filled in by typewriter or ink and submitted to the Town
Cterk in quadruplicate, accompanied by writter, permission from the owner of the property if not
the same as the applicant.
B. Pilot Plan must be drawn to scale on the reverse side of this application showing the location
of property, the names and focations of owners of adjoining properties, and a detailed description
of proposed project. (Note' Copies of the Pilot Plan may be made by a copy machine and attached
to the Permit Application.')
C. No operation shafl be initiated by the ap01icant unti[ all permits that are required are issued.
D. A detailed statement of the rehabilitatian and proposed condition of the premises after the
work is completed must be given, including a survey if required.
E. If permit is being sought for a more sizeable excavation than the construction of a private
single dock or ietty, then this application must be accompanied by a survey and topographical map
certified by a registered land survey or Professional Engineer. The horizontal control of survey
shall be based upon an approval local coordinate sys'rem. The vertical control for elevation and sound-
ings shall be based upon United States Coast and Geodetic Survey and/or United States Geological
Survey datum.

on the premises in question and whether any prior licenses or permits have been issued to erect
