Previous employee Lynn Nylias left everything neat and organized. Janet from the Rec Center has spent a great deal of time showing me the facility,the town trails for the Park Passport program and the scheduling calendar for room/building use/booking: Extremely helpful! Created social media sites for the Youth Bureau; Facebook, Tiktok, SnapChat & Instagram. Established an Anime club, will begin in May, running 4 weeks. Created flyers and social media postings. Contacted various facilities in regards to summer events: Ospreys- baseball clinic Drive in Movies-establish dates, destinations, movies School district-summer school study group Friday, April 29th—Set up the Prom Dress showcase with Penny (Southold Library Teen Librarian), Kristie (Cutchogue Library Teen Librarian), Sara (Mattituck Library Teen Librarian) and Erika (CAST). Saturday, April 30th—Day 1 of the Showcase, over 100 'shoppers' and 125 dresses went out to community members. Youth Bureau Monthly Report - , ... May 1st— Day 2 of Prom Dress Showcase, 145 'shoppers' 175 dresses went out. May 4th—attended meeting with Brian Mealy and Nicki Helf— relating to youth and future collaborations. May 27th with Melissa Mirabelli to discuss YB contacts/contracts, renewal and resolution process. Set up Prom Dresses 'By Appointment' and promoted. Appointment requests have been weekly. Total visitors during appointments- 27, with 35 dresses going out. Hiked trails and replaced stickers for Park Passport program. Downloaded Youth Bureau Resource Directory—the online resource directory on Youth Bureau webpage. Much editing and adding hyperlinks- Work in progress. Created a Teen Youth Advisory Council application &flyers- will extend to the 3 schools guidance departments and home school website, accepting applications for juniors/seniors for the 2022-2023 school year. Organized sporting equipment, created flyer; accepting equipment, giving equipment- community service available for donations. Created flyer; accepting prom dress donations-community service available for donations. Created community service award and listing of organizations where community service can be completed. Trying to establish a Summer Chess group, surveying youth for best dates/times. Contacted Youth Bureau members via email to introduce myself, connect and establish meeting for July.
