After investigation and inspection the Board finds that
the applicaht requests ~ermission to retain an off premises
directional sign. The applicant is in the hotel business.
The Board points out ~hat such sign is in the interest of
the travelling public. The Board wishes to point out that
the land on which this sign is maintained should be improved
in the interest of the applicant.
The Board finds that the public convenience and welfare
and justice will be served and the legally established or
permitted use of neighborhood property and adjoining use
districts will not be permanently or substantially injured
'and the spirit of the Ordinance will'be'ob~ved.
' Therefore, it was RESOLVED that 'Helen HOulls, d/b/a
Rhodos Pavillion, Bay Avenue, East ~arion, New Yor~, be
granted pemisssioh t° retain a directional sign on the property
of Cherepowicz as ~pplied fo~ This permission is grated
subject to the foilowlng condltlons:
1. The sign shall be no larger than four (4) feet by
six (6) feet.
2. The sign shall be located at least five ~eet from
any property line.
3. The sign shall be located at least three feet from
ground level.
4. The sign~all be granted for one year only, renewable
annually upon written application to the Board of Appeals.
5. ~he sign shall be subject to all subsequent changes in
the Southold Town Zoning Ordinance as it applies to signs.

We do not have the sign at the traffic circle any longer. The
only other sign we have is on the town experimental sign post at Bay
Ave and Main Eoad: East Marion.
