After investigation and inspection the Board finds that the
applicant requests permission to retain two ground signs on
premises with insufficient setback and one with insufficient
height from ground level on premises located on the south side
of Main Roar, East Marion, New York, The Board grants the application
as applied for as the Board is in full agreement with the reasoning
of the applicant. The Board approves the continuance of two ground
signs and points out that the applicant must waive his right to
a<wall ~ign and denys permission for t~e cont~nuad existence of
~the ~anging sign
~e Board f~nd~ Gat the public convenience and welfare and,
justice ~ill be serried and the legally established or permitted
use o~ neighborhood ~roperty ,and adjoining use districts will,not
be 9ermanently or,substantially injured and the spirit of the
Ordiaance will be observed.
Therefore, it was RESOLVED that Ernest G. Radford, Main
Road, East Marion, New York, be granted permission to retain
two ground signs on premises with insufficient setback and one
with insufficient height from ground level located on the south
side of Main Road, East Marion, New York, as applied for. Permission
granted subject to the following conditions:
1. The applicant waives all right to a wall sign.
2. Applicant removes hanging sign.
3. The signs are granted subject to all subsequent changes in
the Southold Town Zoning Ordinance as it applies to signs.
4. The signs shall be granted for one year only, renewable
annually upon written application to the Board of Appeals.
