P~m~l:~ des~z~es to sell ~ l0~ strip adJacen~ to his westerly line to his nelEhbor Herbert J. Brown who ad-~ joins the westerly line of the Pitman-property. The property owned by Herbert J. The private garage will replace an existing structure which is closer to the road. Form ZB1 (Continue on other side) REASON FOR APPEAL Continued 1. STRICT APPLICATION OF THE ORDINANCE would produce practical difficulties or unneces- sary HARDSHIP because Of the fact that many of the houses in the immediate area are on plots of ~0 foot widSh. ~2, The hardship created is UNIQUE,and is not .shared by all. proP. erties alike in the immediate vicinity of this property and in this use district bec.a:use t~e frontage- owz~ecl, by ~:Llliam Pitman tis lO0 feet. The..,Proposed~.t:ransf'er' of a ten foot strip to the adjoining land owner, Herbert Brown, and the construction of a new garage in place of the existing one and further back from the road would bebeneficial to the neighborhood in that it wo~ld enhance the esthetic appearance of the area. 3. The Variance would observe the spirit of the Ordinance and WOULD NOT CHANGE THE CHARACTER OF THE DISTRICT because the transfer of the l0 _f'oo¢ ~trip and the construction of a ~ew garage would enhance the esthetic appearance of the area and would not alter the character of the neighborhood.
