Dear Mr. & Mrs. Vazquez::
The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees
during its regular meeting held on August 29, 1996 regarding the
above matter:
'~EREAS, DONALD & JEAN VAZQUEZ applied to the Southotd Town
Trustees for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland
Ordinance of the Town of Southoid, application dated August 9,
1996, and,
WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and
recommendations, and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearingwas held by the Town Trustees with
respect to said application on August 28, 1996, at which time
all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard,
a~d,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are
familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and
documentation submitted concerning this application, and,
WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in
Chapter 37-18 of the Southold Town Code,
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed
will not affect the. health, safety and general welfare of the
people of the town,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT,
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees grant a Wetland Permit for
a 1i' X 16' detached deck approximately 40' from wetlands, and,
BE iT FURTHER RESOLVED that this determination should not be
considered a determination made for any other Department or
Agency which may also have an application pending for the same
or similar project.
Permit to construct project will expire two years from the date
it is signed. Fees must be paid, if applicable, and permit
issued within six months of the date of this notification.
Two inspections are required and the Trustees are to be notified
upon completion of said project.

Conservation Advisory Council held AUCUST 26, 1996:

RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPIIOVAL
of the Wetland Application of DONALD and JEAN VAZ(~LIEZ 31-17-5 to

Dear Sir/Madam:
We are requesting a waiver for an 11 x 16 deck that was
constructed in 1984. We are in the process of selling our
home and find out that we need a permit for Certificate of
Occupancy. We have a Building Department Permit ~11783 but
did not know that we needed an approval from the Department
of Environmental Control. We would appreciate your support in
granting us this waiver.
