FORM ZB4
Barbara C. Dittmann, Secretary
After investigation and inspection the Board finds that
the applicant requests permission to retain an off premises
directional sign. The Board points out that the applicant
is in the motel business and also rents cottages, and said
sign is in the interest of the travelling public. The Board
agrees with the reasoning of the application and points out
that the property on which the sign is located should be
improved.
The BOard finds that the pu~iic convenience and welfare
and~justice will be served'and the legally ~ablished or
permitted use of neighborhood property and adjoining use
districts will no~ be permanently or substantially injured'
and the spirit of the Ordinance will be observed.
Therefore, it wasRESOLVED that Florende Ziegler,
d/b/a Cozzee Cove Cottages, and Motel, Bay Avenue, East
Marion, New York, be granted permission to retain an off
premises directional sign on the property of Cherepowicz,
as applied for. This permission is granted subject to
the following conditions:
1. The sign shall be at least five (5) feet from any
property line.
2. The sign shall be at least three (3) feet above
ground level. ~)~
3. The sign shall be no larger than four (4) feet by
(6) feet.
4. The sign shall be granted for one year only, renewable
annually upon written application to the Board of Appeals.
5. The sign shall be subject to all subsequent hhanges
in the Southold Town Zoning Ordinance as it applies to signs.
