Moved by Trustee Smith seconded by Trustee Bredemeyer WHEREAS, The Land Use Company on behalf of Vernon G. Strub applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold application dated April 8, 1986 , and WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and recommendations, and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on July 31, 1986 at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area; and WHEREAS, the Board considered all the testimony and documentation submitted concerning this application, and WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the Town, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that The Land Use Company on behalf of Vernon G. Barbato to extend an existing jetty to 48' and install a new jetty 48~ in length. The Council recommends the applicant resubmit the applica- tion without the 20'extension on the existing jetty. The proposed jetty to be no longer than .the length of the existing jetty, the seaward end should follow the grade of the bottom contour and prefill. On a motion made by Ralph Condit, seconded by John Holzapfel, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees DISAPPROVAL of wetland application NO. 372 submitted by Costello Marine Con- ' tracting Corp. on behalf of Donald Brennan to install a 40' jetty approximately 25' north of the east property line and install a 70' jetty 40' south of the northeast property line. The Council feels the applicant should resubmit adhereing to the following guidelines: 1. Jetties should protr, ude no further than the Mean Low Water. 2. ~'Jetties must follw the present grade of the beach. with the landwa=d ends no higher than the Mean High Water. 3. P~fill.
