(E.D.S.T.), Upon application of Joseph Goubeaud, Main Road, Cutchogue, New York, for a special exception in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance, ArtiCle III, Section 300, Subsection 10, for permission to erect an on premises bus'iness sign in a residential area. Location of property: south side Main Road, Cutchogue, New York, bounded north,by Main Road, east by land now or formerly of J.A. Hand, south by Edith Hoffman, west by Edith Hoffman. 2. VAPJANCE. By resolution of the Board it was determined that (a) Strict application of the Ordinance (would) (would not) produce practicaI difficnities or unnecessary hardship because SEE REVERSE (b) The hardship created (is) (is not) unique and (would) (would not) be shared by all properties ahke in the immediate vicinity of this property and in the same use district because SEE REVERSE (c) The variance (does) (does not) observe the spirit of the Ordinance and (would) (would not) change the character of the district because SEE REVERSE and therefore, it was further determined' that the requested variance ( ) be granted ( previous decisions of the Building Inspector ( ) be confirmed ( ) be reversed. FORM ZB4 ) be denied and that the PPROVED After investkgation and~inspection the Board finds the applicant requests permission to erect an on premises business sign in a residential area. The Board finds that the applicant is a salesman for "Electric Lux" and so wishes to identify himself by a sign on his property. The Board finds there are no provisions in the Zoning Ordinance to permit on premises advertising in a residential area. If the applicant had business zoned property he could erect the type of sign requested. ~e Board points out that the applicant is entitled to erect a sign showing only his name. The size of the sign shall be no larger than two square feet. T~e Board finds that the publ$c~conve$i~c$ and welfare and justice will~ served and the legally established or permitted use of neighbor- hood property add adjoining Us$~districts,will ~ be perm_~ently or substantially injured and the spirit of the Ordinance wil~ observed. THEREFORE, IT WAS RESOLVED Joseph Goubeaud, Main Road, Cu$chogue, New York, be DE~IED permission to erec~ an on premises businea$ sign in a residential area on property located on the south side Main Road, Cutchogue, New York.
