After investigation,and inspection the Board finds that
the applicant requests permission to erect a wall sign. The
sign will p~oject 24 inches from the building and read "Real
Es~ate~- Kaelin". The Board agees with the reasoning of the
application and points out that this is the only feasible
location for the sign. The Board also points out that Mr.
Kaelin formerly had a sign that overhang the sidewalk.
The Board finds that the public convenience and welfare
and justice will be served and the legally established or
permitted use of neighborhood property and adjoining use
district'will not be permanently~o~ ~ubs~an~ially injured
and the spirit of the Ordinance will be observed.
Therefore, it was I%ESOLVED That Ed',s Sign Service, a/c
Fred Kaelin, Main Road, Cutchogue, New York, be granted
permission to e~ect a wall sign as applied for~ This ~
permission is granted subject to the following conditions:
1. The sign shall be granted for one year only,
renewable annually upon written~application to the
Board of Appeals.
2. The sign shall be subject to all subsequent changes
in the Southold Town Building Zone Ordinance as it applies to
signs.

THE'~P!ECIAL E~C,E~'TIO~ IS R~EQUEtSTED B~CAUSE: We wish to change the sign
which was approved by the Board of Appeals for Fred Kaeiin in an action
dated July ~+~ 1966 (~900) to a narrower~ sign - not prjectiong so far
off the face of the building but high~ and more effective. This
sign will be securely mounted to the face of the building above all
pedestrian traffic and totaiy inside of the property line.
There will be no gro~d sign on these premises as it would interfere
with the parking area for this building.
