CE,~TIGN IS R~E'QUE~STEI) BECAUSE we hire and utilize many out oft sta%~: truckers who go to the S~thold f~i~ty to pick up ~d subsequently deliver locally gro~ produce. T~s sig~, berg located where it is presently, can. be seen by the truckers from ~oute 27. Many of these men are ~familiar with the area. The sign saves much co~usion and precludes interference ~th normal to~ traffic. ~ there ~as difficulty in locating our facility by virtue of missing the sign, they might possibly go on through a~d add ~necessary congestion ~thin local resi- dential and business are~, We feel it is important to have this sign available for out of state truckers. During the harvesting season, with many trailers and farm trucks on our premises, there resu/ts a great deal -of traffic which occasionally causes confusion. There- fore, it behooves us to get these trucks unloaded and trailers loaded as quickly as pos sible. This sign is located on the roof of the building because it would be obscured by parked vehicles, trailers, trucks, etc., if located lower on the building. We believe that ii'the out of state trackers have a difficult time in locating these warehousing facilities it would seriously impede the rapid delivery o£ fresh farm products to' terminal points; possibly resulting in less favorable end results for1 lo:cai farmers.
