By resolution of the Board it was determined that (a) Strict application of the Ordinance (would) (would not) ~roduce practical difficulties or unnecessary hardshi{~ SEE REVERSE (b) The hard~hip created (is) (i~ not) unique and (would) (would not) be shared by all properties alike in the immediate vicinity of this property and in the same use district because SEE REVERSE (c) The variance (does) (does not) observe the spirit of the Ordinance and (would) (~ould not) cha~:e the character of the district because SEE REVEKSE and therefore, it -,vas further determined that the requited varlance ( ) be granted ( ) be denied and that the previous decisions of the Building Inspector ( ) ~be confirmed ( ) be reversed. FORM ZB4 After investigation and inspection the Board finds that the appellant requests permission,to retain a side wall sign. The Board grants the permission as applied for and agrees with the reasoning of the application. This is a means of identifying a public auction which is used by most of the farmers in the area. It is a necessary sign. The Board finds that the public convenience and welfare and justice will be served and the legally established orpermitted use~of neighborhood property and adjoining use districts will not be permanently or substantially injured and the spirit of the Ordinance will be observed. Therefore, it was RESOLVED.that Long I~iand,CauliflOwer ASsoc,, Marcy,Avenue, Riverhead~ New York, be granted permiSSion ~to retain a side mall sign on a building located on the nortl~ side ~of , Middle Road, Southold, New Yonk, as applied for. This permission is granted subject to the following conditions: ~ 1. The sign is granted subject to all subsequent changes in the Southold Town Zoning Ordin~nde'as it applies to signs. 2.
