POLICY: At scheduled Town Board meetings, the attending public is encouraged to briefly
address the Town Board relating to agenda resolutions prior to their enactment; the public will
also be given time at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled business agenda to address the
Board on any given topic.

V. RESOLUTIONS
Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to
speak on the following resolutions.
273. Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for bids for road surface treatments.

Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2003 budget for the SEEDS
Program administration and determine that the $8,500 payment to the Town of East
Hampton shall be a legal charge to the SEEDS Administration line.

Assume lead agency status in the SEQRA review with regard to the proposed code changes
for accessory apartments, adopt a Negative Declaration in connection with the proposed
code changes for accessory apartments.
276. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2003 budget to provide funding
for software license upgrading.
277. Enact "A Local Law in Relation to the General Business (B) District in Chapter 100 of the
Zoning Code of the Town of Southold".
278. Enact "A Local Law in Relation to the Hamlet Business (HB) District in Chapter 100 of the
Zoning Code of the Town of Southold".

Grant permission to the Raymond Cleaves Post 861, Mattituck American Legion, to use
town roads for the Memorial Day Parade May 26, 2003.
Grant permission to the Griswold-Terry-Glover Post 803, American Legion, Southold to
use town roads for the Memorial Day Parade May 26, 2003.
Authorize the filing of an Application for a State Grant-in-Aid for a Municipal Waste
Reduction and/or Recycling Project.
Grant permission to the American Diabetes Association to use town roads for their 11th
Annual Tour de Cure Cycling event June 3, 2003.
Authorize modification to the Solid Waste 2003 budget for miscellaneous supplies.
Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to sign all necessary documents with Diversified
Technology Consultants to assist the Fishers Island Sewer District.
Set 8:00 p.m., May 20, 2003, Southold Town Hall, as the time and place for a hearing on
the waiver application from the provisions of"A Local Law in Relation to a One Hundred
Eighty Day Extension of the Temporary Moratorium on the Processing, Review of, and
making Decisions on the Applications for Major Subdivisions, Minor Subdivisions, and
Special Use Permits and Site Plans Containing Dwelling Unit(s) in the Town of Southold"
for the minor subdivision of Ernest Schneider, SCTM #1000-101-1-14.3.
Approve the gift of the L'Hommedieu carriage barn to the Southold Historical Society with
appreciation to them for their continued commitment to the preservation and protection of
our heritage for present and future generations.
Authorize Supervisor Horton to execute all necessary documents to retain a land use
attorney and planning consultant to assist the Town Board with a comprehensive plan for
the properties in the immediate vicinity of the Town Landfill/Transfer Station.
Set 5:00 p.m., June 3, 2003, Southold Town Hall, as the time and place for a hearing on "A
Local Law in Relation to a Temporary Moratorium on the Issuance of Approvals and/or
Permits for Parcels of Property in the Light Industrial Park/Planned Office Park (LIO)
Zoning District and the Light Industrial (LI) Zoning District in the Church Lane
Neighborhood and Immediate Area Surrounding the Town Landfill/Transfer Station".
