Aftez,,investigation andinspec.tion~ the Board finds that the applicant
requests permission to locate a sign on'the proPerty of Joseph Cherepowicz,
on the corner of Shipyard Lane and ~'~in Road, East ~h~rion~ New YoLk,
Said property owner has given permission for the location of a si~n on
his property. The Board grants permission to the applicant to erect
a "directional sign on the property. Said sign is in the interest of the
travelling public as kit d~rects to a motel. The size of the sign is four
feet by four feet.
The Board points out that the applicant must delete from the sign
the telephone number, and it will be necessary to add to the sign
proper directions .to reach the P~dos P~villion. These changes in the sign
must be made by August l, 1968.
The sign shall be located at least, ~0Ofe~t ~st of Shipyard
Lane; ~nd no close~ than five feet to Route 25 or any other property line.
The Board fiHds tha~ the public convenience and welfare and justice
will be served and the legally established or permitted use ~f neighborhood
property and adjoining use districts will not be permanently or substantially
injured and the spirit of the Ordinance will be observed.
THEREFORE, IT ?~AS RESOLVED that Helen Houlis, Bay Avenue, East
~,~rion, New York, be granted pem~ission to erect a "directional" sign on
the property of Joseph Cherep~vicz at south side of b~in Road ,and east
side of Shipyard Lane, East Marion, New York, subject to the conditions
set forth a~ove, and further subject to the following conditions:
1. The sign shall be granted for a period of ohe year, renewable
annually upon written application to the Board of Appeals.
2. The sign shall be subject to all subsequent changes in the
Southold T~n BuildingZone Ordinarne as it applies to signs.

c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issue.ncc of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building inspector will issue a Building Permit to the applicant. Such permit
shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the progress of the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose whatever until a Certificate of Occupancy
shah have been granted by the Building Inspector.
