Location of property: south side Mah Road, Sontho!d, New York, boundsd north by Main Road, east by Sledjeski, south by Peconic Bay, west by Mill Creek. 2. VARIANCE. The total of the two sections exceeds the six feet, six inches in height which is permitte~ under the Zoning Ordinance, however, the sign does not extend more than 15 feet 6 inches above grouDd level. , One section of the sign measures four feet by six feet and the.othez~section of the sign measures five feet by seven feet, totaling 59~squre feet of area, which is less than the area~rmitted under.the zoning Ordinance. The Board finds this sign will advertise Evinrude andStamas boats. He bottom edge of the sign will be located three feet above ground level, and setback approximately 20 feet from the road, It is the opinion of the Board the sign will in no way create a traffic hazard. The Board finds that the public convenience and welfare and justice will be served and the l~ally, e~s~ablished or permitted, use of neighborhood property andadjoining~ use , dist~iEts.will nDb. bepermanently or substantiallyinjured . and the spirit of:the Ordinance ~ill be observed. These signs w~l be combined ~ a frame using a total of 5'9 square feet of area against the permitted 81 sq ft in a h~r~z°ntal sign. One section will be ~ ft X 6 ft and the other ~ ft X 7 ft. The sign will not exceede the total height of 15'-6" permitted. We are of the opinion that we will get better results from the verticle type sign than a horozonta! type~ it will ~no way be harmful or cause a hazard to traffic or pedestrians.
