Southold Town Board of Appeals
July 1, 1977
A special meeting of the S~uthold Town Board of Appeals
was held at 10:00 A.M. (E.D.S.T.), Friday, July 1, 1977, at
the Town Hall, Main R~ad, Southold, New York.
There were present: Messrs: Robert W. Gillispie, Jr.,
Chairman; Robert Bergen; Charles Grigonis, Jr.
The meeting was called by the Chairman for the purpose
of reviewing~applications which have been received by the Board
sin~e the June 23, 1977, meeting at which time no applications
were reviewed or approved for hearing on July 14, 1977.
On motion by Mr. Gillispie, seconded by Mr. Bergen, it was
P~ESOLVED that the Southold Town Board of Appeals set the
following~times on Thursday, July 14, 1977, at the Town Hall,
Main Road, Southold, New York as the time and place of hearing
upon the following applications:
7:30 P.M. - Recessed hearing on Elizabeth A. Yaro; Appeal No. 2279.
7:40 P.M. - John and Olivia F~llinger-Ihar; Appeal No. 2307.
7:50 P.M. - Long Island Vineyards, Inc.; Appeal No. 2309.
8:00 P.M. - Howard F. and Janet A. Malone; Appeal No. 2304.
8:10 P.M. - Ernest and Ruth Gibson; Appeal. No. 2305.
8:20 P.M. - Ernest Radford a/c Marion D. Fitzsimmons; Appeal No. 2310.
8:35 P.M. - Jon Kerbs a/c Richard and Claire Labita; Appeal No. 2306.
8:50 P.M. Helmut Hass; Appeal No. 2308.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: - Messrs: Gillispie, Bergen, Grigonis.
On motion by Mr. Grigonis, seconded by Mr. Gillispie, it was
RESOLVED that the $outhold Town Board of Appeals GRANT
permission~to the Knights of Columbus to hold a Circus on the
Southold Town Board of Appeals -2-
July 1, 1977
Greenport Polo Grounds on July 20, 1977, subject to the condition
that the posters can be erected no sooner .than two weeks prior to
the event and must be removed within the week following the event.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Messrs: Gillispie, Bergen, Grigonis.
The Chairman was asked by Howard Terry, Sr. Building Inspector,
to write a definition of the term "places of amusement" as used in
the Ordinance.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:15 A.M. (E.D.S.T.).
