REASON FOR APPEAL
COntinued
1. STRICT APPLICATION OF THE ORDINANCE would produce practical difficulfles or unneces-
sary HARDSHIP because: The "break" in the front line of the house is for
the two c~r garage, thi~ makes for a better looking building and gives
more room for the rear porch-under the roof having the same line as
the rest of the rear of the house.
2. The hardship created is UNIQUE and is not shared by oil properties alike in the immediate
vicinity of this property and in this use district because: This lot iS the ~,l$ll[, deep lot
an the northerly end - easterly side of Saltaire Way~ the next lot
on the northerly side is long and shallow on Saltaire Way having its
m~in frontage 'on Sound View Ave. This lot also slopes tward the rear.
3. The Variance would obse~e the spirit of the Ordinance and WOULD NOT CHANGE THE
CHARACTER O5 THE DISTRICT becau~: This dwelling will be similar to the
others in the subdivision - ~½ story with attached garage, - most of the
other houses have some form of "break" in thefront of the dwelling~ which
makes a more attractive looking home.
The 18 inch extension on the northerly part of this. house will
not harm or change the neighborhood.
