D~ter investigation and inspection the Board finds that
the applicant requests permission to erect directional signs in
two separate locations. The applicant has a letter of permission
from the ~zoperty ~vner in regard to both sign locations. These
signs are directional only to a marina and restaurant, owned by
the applicant, located in Greenport, These signs are in the
interest of the travelling public.
Therefore, it was RESOLVL~D that ~tchell's Restaurant, 115
Front Street~ Greenport, New York, be granted permission to
locate a directional sign on the property ~f Julia Stokes & Mrs° D.
Avent, ~ north side Main Road, Laurel, New York, and be granted
permission to locate a directional sign on the property of Julia
Wickham, north side B~in Road, Greenport, New York~ as applied for
and subject to the follo~ng donditions:
1. Both signs shall be no larger than 24 squ~re feet, each.
2. Both gig,s shall be located at least five feet from any
property line or sXreet line.
3. Both signs shall be located at least three feet above ground
level.
4. BoSh signs shall be gr~nted for a period of one year,
renewable ~nnually upon written application to the Board of Appeals.
5 5. Both signs shall be subject to all subsequent changes in
the Southold To%'.~ Building Zone Ordinance as it applies to signs.
