HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/2022 Department of Public Works Monthly Report Date: March 2022 Town Hall - Repaired circulator pumps by boilers - Disassemble Town Clerk’s Covid window - Replace hardware on flag pole - Painted floor in boiler room - Degreased and cleaned floor in east end boiler room Beaches, Parks & Road Ends - Conducted monthly stair inspection - Replaced ADA post & sign in Southold Village parking lot - Patched Laurel Lake driveway - Construct guard shed at Goldsmiths - Replaced damaged sign at Klipp Park - Installed dead bolt on Down’s Farm back door - Repaired broken guardrails at McCabe’s & Kenney’s beaches - Repainted parking spaces at Town parking lots - Removed trees - Painted garbage beach barrels - Transplanted tree at Silversmiths. Graded and top dressed all areas where tree was originally and currently stands - Edged, weeded and mulched Laurel Info Booth, Laurel preserve, Tasker park, Corcoran park and Police Dept - Removed large trees from Pike Street parking lot - Spring clean up at road ends - Filled in all pot holes with blend at Town preserves - Trimmed trails at Damianos and Adamowicz - Repaired bleachers at Laurel ballfield - Cleaned up submarine memorial at New Suffolk in preparation of service - Cleaned up all dugouts and began prep/groom/cut outs @ ballfields - Drained water off ballfields at Tasker REC - Cleaned, stripped and sealed flooring Police Dept - Installed board to store patrol bikes - Repaired lobby toilet Shelter - Repaired cracks & cement on kennel floors Dept of Solid Waste - Replaced plexiglass & framing on scale house Snow management at parking lots, sidewalks and buildings during storm and Town closure Auto Mechanic - Cleaned and stored snow plows for the season - PW1 #3734, Jeep, replaced all 4 tires, balance & mount - 801 #4997, Ford SUV, service - M3 #4598, service, remove & replace with new graphics on tailgate - K9 #4218, C/Vic, service, replaced wiper blades, repaired connection from battery to priority start - 810 #4851, Ford SUV, replaced rear wiper - 805 #4998, Ford SUV, service - (2) Dodge Ram pick ups in impound, conducted safety check - UC-2 #4145, Jeep, replace L/F “V” axle, replaced wiper blades - HP2 #4642, Taurus, remove inside light bar and readjust after windshield replacement.
