Pre submission Conferences: None Regular.Meetine Called to Order: 4:04 pm Attendees: Chairperson Ostroski,Vice Chairperson Surchin, Commissioner Santana, Commissioner' Wexler and Commissioner Cubie. Also present: Coordinator: Kim E.Fuentes,Assistant Town Attorney John Burke Quorum present: Pledge of Allegiance: Approval of Minutes: Motion to approve November 23, 2021 meeting minutes by Commissioner Wexler,seconded by, Commissioner Wexler,AYES: Ostroski,Wexler,and Santana and Cubie. (4-0) (Commissioner Surchin Absent). Motion approved. PUBLIC HEARING: 1. 3:29 P.M. - HC NoFo, LLC, 53315 Main Road,Travelers Street, Southold. Proposed Construc- tion of an Affordable Housing Project. Three new 2 story buildings, each containing four units; one existing 2 story building to contain 2 units. Redesign of an existing dwelling unit located on the premises. SCTM No. 61-1-9.1. • Represented by Todd Feuerstein • Subject to the Condition that if there are any material supply changes that the applicant will meet with the HPC. • Renovation of existing single family dwelling located in front of the property to include 'replacement of roof, siding and the addition of lattice under the deck. • Proposal was open for public comment. Motion to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for alteration as applied by Commissioner Cubie, seconded by Commissioner Santana. AYES: Ostroski, Wexler, Santana and Cubie. Proposed additions and alterations to a Single Family Dwelling. SCTM No. 1000-24-2-14. • Represented by Anthony Portillo, Architect • Renovation of single family dwelling; closing of side entrance, create vestibule and add windows. • Proposal was open for public comment. Motion to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for alteration as applied by Commissioner Cubie, seconded by Commissioner Santana. AYES: Ostroski,Wexler, Santana and Cubie. 3. 3:47 P.M. - Kane, Keith and Lynette, 335 Village Lane, Orient. To legalize an "as built"four season room. SCTM No. 1000-25-2-4.13. • Represented by Michael Kimack, Attorney. • As-Built enclosure of existing screen porch to convert to habitable space, i.e.,the instal- lation of windows without the benefit of a Certificate of Appropriateness, attached to a single family dwelling. • Commissioner Cubie offered to discuss options with the applicant's architect. • Proposal was open for public comment. • The Commission voted to Adjourn the hearing to their next meeting date,January 27, 2022 A Motion was made to adjourn the public hearing to January 27, 2022 by Commissioner Cubie, seconded by Chairperson Ostroski. AYES: Ostroski, Surchin, Wexler, Santana and Cubie. Old Business: 1. No date has been set at this time for T. Webb and R. Harper Orient Historic District Preservation Program co-sponsored by the OA and OHS. . (Mariella Ostroski) 2. Updates on Asch property award in progress. The Commission will follow up by contacting prior member. (Anne Surchin). 3. Landmark incentives—progress pending (Mariella Ostroski). New Business• 1. Discussion by commissioners as to ways to disseminate the HPC role and function; collect information from other East End Towns of their process; create a public image by 2 Page 3, Minutes of Meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission December 9, 2021 posting a social media page; create logo, and utilize images of the town's historical properties. 2. Pending applications tentatively scheduled for Presubmission conference on January 27, 2022:JOTAS, Becker. Meeting Adjourned: 4:48 P.M. Motion to exit the public meeting and move to execution session was made by Commissioner Wexler, seconded by, Commissioner Santana, AYES: Ostroski, Surchin,Wexler, Santana and Cubie. Motion approved. Next HPC work session and regular meeting, with Zoom access, scheduled for January 27, 2022 in the Town Hall in the Town Hall Meeting Room at 3:00 PM. 3
