Re: Air Handler Replacement
50 Breakwater Road
We propose to provide and install a new Trane condensing unit with R41 OA refrigerant and new Trane
R41 OA air handler as indicated below.
Scope:
• We will pump down and reclaim refrigerant from old condensing unit as per EPA regulation.
• We will remove and dispose of one (1) old condensing unit. (m#550AN042-D s#0500E6444)
• We will provide and install one (1) Trane XR 13 Series 3.50 TON, 13 SEER condensing unit,
complete with all necessary controls. The compressor is covered by a manufacturer's ten(10)year
warranty and ten (10)years on parts. As a courtesy we will register the equipment. You will receive a
copy of the registration form after final billing is complete.
• We will reconnect refrigerant piping tie-ins to existing refrigerant system.
• We will provide and flush out refrigeration lines with R11.
• We will provide and install one (1) liquid line drier.
• We will provide and install one (1) sight glass moisture indicator.
• We will reconnect control wiring tie-ins to existing wiring.
• We will provide and install one (1) new electrical whip. We will wire whip to existing electric
disconnect and to new condenser.
• We will relocate new condenser to side of home per request.
• We will run new refrigerant liquid and suction line from new location, up exterior wall into attic.
• We will cover new refrigerant piping in white leader pipe.
• We will provide and install one (1) new condenser mounting pad.
• We will remove and dispose of one (1) existing air handler.
• We will provide and install one (1) Trane 4TEM Series air handler.
• We will provide and install all necessary supply duct transitions from existing supply duct to new air
handler.
• We will provide and install all necessary return duct transitions from existing return duct to new air
handler.
• We will provide and install necessary piping and fittings and reconnect existing refrigeration lines to
new air handler.
• We will reconnect existing line voltage power wiring to new air handler.
• We will reconnect existing low voltage control wiring to new air handler.
• We will provide and install one (1) EZ trap condensate safety.
• We will provide proper evacuation, start-up and charging procedures upon installation completion.
• We will provide a complementary one (1)year parts and labor service agreement on the above
condensing unit and air handler.

Exclusions:
• Weber and Grahn is not responsible for existing system/duct work design and/or operation.
• Modification of existing distribution system (main ductwork) is not included.
• Zoning is not included.
• All electric by others.
• All opening of walls, ceilings and floors by others.
• Weber and Grahn is not responsible for nail/screw heads popping through ceiling due to work
performed in attic.
• Painting and/or patching by others.
• Weber and Grahn is not responsible for any leaks in existing refrigerant piping. Any repairs are at an
additional cost. This includes but is not limited to:
1: Trenching, digging or back filling of existing refrigerant piping.
2: Any opening/closing of floors, walls, ceilings or framing. This includes painting and patching.
3: Replacement of damaged refrigeration piping and fittings.
4: Any additional refrigerant that is needed to properly charge system.
This proposal may be withdrawn by us if not accepted and received within 30 days from the above date,
and will not become a binding contract until accepted by you.
