Maim Diane From: Catherine Harper <charper@op to11 nline.net> EC = i Sent: Friday, April 8, 2022 11:56 AM To: DiSalvo, Diane R APR 2022 Subject: 2455 New Suffolk Avenue, Mattituck Smdhow TOM To: Southold Trustees earl of T From: Robert and Catherine Harper 2600 New Suffolk, Mattituck Re: 2455 New Suffolk Avenue, Mattituck We have no objections to Ms. Karten's plan to install a pool on her home's back deck. HOWEVER, we are VERY concerned about any plans — and we are unaware of any plans — to drain the pool or change the water it contains. Any draining of chemical infused pool water onto her lawn would contaminate Lake Maratooka, further endangering a very fragile, fresh water lake, and further jeopardize the variety of wildlife it supports which include fish, turtles, swans, osprey and an occasional bald eagle. If Ms. Karten can arrange for a safe way to refresh or winterize her pool that does not involve draining it on her property, her proposal is fine with us.
