To summarize, we have now provided (i) a robust revegetation plan from a licensed environmental consultant, (ii) a sealed survey showing the removed portion of the preexisting patio and its distance from the pond, and (iii) a formal letter from our licensed and insured contractor explaining the restoration work performed on the patio. Stephen Kiely sent this in on Friday, but I am attaching again for the benefit of the entire group just in case. With regard to the revegetation plan, please note that, as requested by the Town Trustees, we have increased both the quantity and variety of plants to be planted. The varieties selected were chosen because they are native and are known to do well in this type of environment. In response to comments from the Town Trustees, we have also provided a better habitat for frog life in this plan, as we have provided a more diversified plant community with areas of densely planted low growing vegetation for protective cover, and open sunny areas (switch grass plantings) for basking activity. With respect to the Stop Work Order that was posted on our door on April 14, 2022 requesting a revised plan showing the removal of a certain 28 square foot section of existing patio, please see the attached survey (second attachment). The revised survey (which is signed and sealed): I. temporarily removes the pool project in order to clearly show the portion of existing patio that was removed (we have deleted the pool, drywell, fencing, pool equipment), 2. shows the removal of the small patio section (see cross hatched portion closest to the road), 2 0 3. shows the square footage of the removed patio section, 4. shows distances to the old patio from the pond and the road, and 5. shows the 15' wetland buffer (as further delineated in the revegetation plan). Cohen, Neil Inn E C To: elizabethc@southoldtownny.gov Subject: 2500 Soundview Ave, Mattituck APR Southold Imm Ms. Cantrell — ` wd Please see the enclosed surveys, as discussed. The survey has been updated to reflect comments which we received on April 5, 2022 from the Town of Southold Board of Trustees following their inspection of the wetlands and our proposed pool at the property. The Trustees asked that we reflect on the survey a 15 foot non-turf vegetated buffer from the pond. Our plan would be to start planting this buffer and revegetating in connection with the construction of the pool. Would you please add this to our file for the April 13th hearing.
