Minutes of May 18 meeting Southold Town C.A.C. held its regular meeting on May 18, 1977 at the Town Clerks Office in Southold, The meeting was called to order at 7;40 pm by chairman 1rgnk Kujawski. Members present included the chairman and Jack Mulhall, John Tuthill, William Ruland, and Frank Ciachanowicz Jr K copy of the minutes of the Town Planning Board was read concerning the application of Edward C. Booth and others. A further communication was read concerning the application of the C.P.F. Land Corp. for th&ir development known as "Blue Horizons" . It was noted that the council' s recommendations were followed very closely. A motion was made by Jack Mulhall and seconded by Frank Ciachanowicz to acceptWetlands Application # 29 submitted by the C.P.F. Land Corp. , sub- ject to legend being placed on the subdivision map of "Blue Horizons" that states the following as agreed to by the developers, the Town Trustees, and the C.A.C. : " No residential construction to be permitted on lots 23, 24,25, 28, 29, 31 , and 32 until house plans and individual plot grading plans have been submitted to and approved for construction by the Town of Southold Conservation Advisory Council, or its successors, or assignee vote 5 yes 0 no It was noted by Mr. Tuthill that the old cemetery (Truman Cemetery) in Orient was part of the Rand Properties. It was further noted that the planning board might try to have the burying .ground preserved. It was agreed the Chairman would inform the planning board of this idea. A letter was read from the County of Suffolk, Dept. of Environmental Control concerning freshyater wetlands where major work was being done. No one present had any knowledge of this smtuation occuring in Southold Town. Chairman Kujawski discussed the N.Y.S. Environmental Quality Reg- ulations commonly known as "SEQR" and the future ramifications of these regulations concerning the C.A.C. A letter was read from the Cooperative Extension concerning reim- bursement of C.A.C. expenses required to implement SEQR. Further in- formation would be--obtained by :the chairman.
