CONSERVATION ADVISORY COUNCIL
Southold, N. Y.
Mikutes of meeting of Aug. 10, 1977
The regular meeting of the Southold Town C.A.C-
was held at the Town Hall at 7;30 pm on Aug. 10, 1977.
Members present were Chairman 'Frank Kujawski, Jack
Mulhall, John Plock, John Tuthill, and William Ruland.
Discussion was held concerning the application of
Folly Beach Ltd. and Peter Kreh, both of Mattituck.
Inspection of the projects had taken place on Aug. 6,,
1977. After a very lengthy discussion it was moved
that we are in basic agreement with the 65uffolk County
Planning Commission' s findings. We feel that the
developers should resubmit a common development plan
with one efficient right of way and turn around. After
inspecting the area, lot # 2 was found to be totally
inadequate because of erosion that has taken place and
will continue to take place and also the inaUility of
the lot to meet. the 100 ft. setback for cesspools.
The council feels the entire area may be inadequate
for a leeching field because of its proximity to the
cre,6k and bay and because of the underlying marsh
composition of the soil. The motion was made by John
Plack and seconded by John Tuthill.

Discussion was then held on the application and
map of James Bitses for his proposed ddvelopment off
Bayview ave. in Southold. It was the councils opinion'
that the map is accurate alad correct. It was moved that
before a subdivision map is approved soil and water tests
should be done with the number of dwellings based in part
on this information. The council questions the road
layout and turn around and whether acess should be
provided to the water. Moved by John Tuthill and seconded
by John Plack.
