Mikutes of meeting of Aug. 10, 1977 The regular meeting of the Southold Town C.A.C- was held at the Town Hall at 7;30 pm on Aug. 10, 1977. Members present were Chairman 'Frank Kujawski, Jack Mulhall, John Plock, John Tuthill, and William Ruland. Discussion was held concerning the application of Folly Beach Ltd. and Peter Kreh, both of Mattituck. Inspection of the projects had taken place on Aug. 6,, 1977. After a very lengthy discussion it was moved that we are in basic agreement with the 65uffolk County Planning Commission' s findings. We feel that the developers should resubmit a common development plan with one efficient right of way and turn around. After inspecting the area, lot # 2 was found to be totally inadequate because of erosion that has taken place and will continue to take place and also the inaUility of the lot to meet. the 100 ft. setback for cesspools. The council feels the entire area may be inadequate for a leeching field because of its proximity to the cre,6k and bay and because of the underlying marsh composition of the soil. The motion was made by John Plack and seconded by John Tuthill. 5 in favor 0 opposed Discussion was then held on the application and map of James Bitses for his proposed ddvelopment off Bayview ave. in Southold. It was the councils opinion' that the map is accurate alad correct. It was moved that before a subdivision map is approved soil and water tests should be done with the number of dwellings based in part on this information. The council questions the road layout and turn around and whether acess should be provided to the water. Moved by John Tuthill and seconded by John Plack.
