A regular meeting of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory
Council was held on Tuesday, November 27, 1979 at 7:30 p.m. at the
Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York. Present were
Chairman Frank A. Kujawski, Jr.
John B. Tuthill
William Ruland
John Plock
Robert Hood
Frank Cichanowicz
Margaret A. - Conway
Paul Demery, L. I. Traveler-Watchman
The Council is in receipt of 'a referral from the Southold Town
Planning Board which requests comments and recommendations on the
use of a natural drainage area in the subdivision of Macari at Laurel.
The Council scheduled a group inspection of the property to take
place on Sunday, December 2nd. The Council reviewed the map and
the intentions of the developer in regard to the drainage.
A letter was received in the office and forwarded to the members
from Dorothea Delehanty, President of the Mattituck Watchdogs. There
was correspondence included relative to .on-going work at the Matt-A-
Mar Marina. The Council reviewed the correspondence.
Mr. Plock requested that members of the Council attend a public
hearing to be held by the Village of Greenport Planning Board on'
November 30, 1979 in regard to the proposal of placing condominiums
in the waterfront commercial district, property of Sweet' s Shipyard.
and McGunnigle. Mr. Plock feels it would be better kept in water-
front commercial development.
The application of Margaret Braatz for bulkheading and dredging
was received by the Council and an inspection of this property will
also be made on Sunday.
The next meeting of the Council was scheduled for Tuesday,
December 11, 1979.
There being no further business to come before the Council,
motion was made by Mr. Ruland, seconded- by Mrs. Conway and carried
to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 8: 30 p.m.
