HomeMy WebLinkAboutCAC-01/25/1983 A regular meeting of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council was held at 7 : 30 p.m. Tuesday, January 25th, 1983 at Southold Town Hall, Main Road, Southold. Present were: Frank Cichanowicz - Chairman John Tuthill John Plock Rachel Duell Betty Wells Absent: Robert Hood William Ruland On motion made by John Tuthill, seconded by Rachel Duell RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board approval of the wetland application #112 by Phil Marco to construct a dock for private boat, Cutchogue. Vote of Council: Ayes : All On motion made by John Plock, seconded by Betty Wells RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board approval of the wetland application #114 by Ken Hahn on behalf of Boatmen' s Harbor Marina to construct new bulkhead and dredge. Cutchogue. Vote of Council: Ayes : All On motion made by Rachel Duell, seconded by John Plock The Conservation Advisory Council recommends that the application by Robert V. Rider, Jr. #115 be revised and resubmitted. The spartina grass cannot be removed and the fill cannot be placed in the wetland area. Request a new application be submitted clarifying how this project will be done. Request that every foot down dredged be at least two feet away from the existing spartina grass. Vote of Council: Ayes : All On motion made by Jon Tuthill, seconded by Rachel Duell RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board approval of the wetland application #116 by Enconsultants , Inc. on behalf of Lawrence D. Byron, Jr. to construct dock, ramp and float. Cutchogue. Vote of Council: Ayes : All On-- motion made by Betty Wells, seconded by Rachel Duell RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board approval of the wetland application #117 by Enconsultants, Inc. on behalf of Robert K. and Jean Fairlie to replace timber bulkhead and backfill with clean sand fill. Vote of Council: Ayes: All On motion made by John Tuthill, seconded by John Plock RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board approval of the wetland application #118 by Lane Use Company for Virginia G. Jones to construct dock and ramp. Southold. Vote of Council: Ayes : All On motion made by John Plock, seconded by John Tuthill RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board approval of the wetland application #119 by Port of Egypt Marine, Inc. to re- arrange existing dockage inside of marina, pull and reset anchoring pipes on floating docks. Southold. Vote of Council: Ayes : All On motion made by Rachel Duell, seconded by John Tuthill The Conservation. Advisory Council would. like to recommend that the application #120 by Abigail A. Wickham, Esq. on behalf of Constantine P. Georgiopoulos,to fill lot.•with. approximately. 1000 cubic feet of off-site fill, in order to raise elevation 5 feet and construct single family dwelling, be tabled until it can be clarified what type of retainers will be used to keep the fill in place. Vote of Council: Ayes : All On motion made by Rachel Duell, seconded by Frank Cichanowicz The Conservation Advisory Council recommends that the wetland application #121 by Fritz C. Kohn,to construct 60 ' of bulkheading, be revised so that the return from the bulkhead be extended from 5 feet to at least 15 feet. Vote of Council: Ayes : All There being no further business to come before the Council, Mr. Tuthill made a motion, seconded by Rachel Duell and carried. to adjourn.
