Box 1179 TELEPHONE y�/�d �� Southold, New York 11971 (516)765-1801 SOUTHOLD TOWN CONSERVATION ADVISORY COUNCIL FEBRUARY 19 , 1987 The Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council held its regular meeting on Thursday, February 19 , 1987 at 8: 00 P.M. at the Southold Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York 11971. Present were: Martin Garrell, Chairman John Holzapfel, Member John Tuthill, Member Jeanne Marriner, Member Ralph Condit , Member Linda Cooper, Secretary Also present : Dave Emelita, Szepatowski Associates Inc. Lisa Marino, Szepatowski Associates Inc. Absent were: Betty Wells, Member Heather Cusack, Member Speakers - Re: Local Waterfront Revitalization Program Dave Emilita and Lisa Marino, Environmental Planners from Szepatowski Associates Inc. spoke to the Council regarding Southold Town ' s Local Waterfront Revitalization Program and the CAC.' s role in the program. The CAC and other groups from Southold Town will be working on the program to provide thoughts which will be translated into a doctrine for a wylcable re- vitalization program for Southold Town. RECOMMENDATIONS On a motion made by Martin Garrell, seconded by John Holzapfel, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval of Wetland Application No. 464 submitted by the Land Use Company on behalf of Dr. Richard S. Laskin .to construct a 3 ' x 64 ' catwalk a minimum of 4 ' over marsh, leading to a 3 ' x 16 ' ramp, leading to a 6 ' x 20 ' float dock. 670 Holbrook Lane, Mattituck. Page 2 - 3/19/87 RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval of Wetland Application No. 488submitted by Ernest Tarmin to construct stairs from bluff to beach and install a gazebo ( 11 foot diameter) as per sketch in application, 50 feet from edge of bluff. Main Road, Orient . RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval of Wetland Application No. 486 submitted by J. Kevin McLaughlin, on behalf of Margaret McNamara to construct a wooden dock. 640 Takaposa Roaad, Southold. Vote of Council: Ayes: All On a motion made by John Holzapfel, seconded by Jeanne Marriner, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval of Wetland Application No. 485 submitted by the Land Use Company on behalf of Brent Bookmiller to construct a single family dwelling, well and associated sanitary system on a pre-existing, non-conforming lot . Runoff should be contained on property. Deep Hole Road, Mattituck. Vote of Council: Ayes : All On a motion made by Ralph Condit , seconded by John Tuthill, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval of Wetland Application No. 487 submitted by John Wickham to rebuild dike using only material washed away from dike and add wing wall to headwall and armour. 1000 fr. along dike northwest of Grathwohl Road, New Suffolk. Vote of Council: Ayes: All WAIVER REQUEST The Co unc_il does not _recommend the waiver to Ed Boutis to build_a full basement under existing home, install oil-fired hot hot water system, and upgrade electrical system. The Council would like to make an inspection of the project before making a recomendation. Ruch Lane, Southold. February 24 , 1987 - Special Trustees meeting with interested parties regarding the, C•ra*mer- application. February 25 , 1987 - Meeting with the Riverhead Conservation Advisory Council at the Riverhead Town Hall, 8: 00 P.M. . February 26 , 1987 - Regular meeting of the Southold Town Trustees. February 26 , 1987 - Solid Waste Hearing at Bethpage State Park. March 3 , 1987 b- DEC at Bethpage State Park to form with CACs a Regional Advisory Committee. March 12 , 1987 - Purchase, New York - Summary of research from Long Island Sound. NEXT MEETING AND INSPECTION DATES Whe next regular meeting of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council is scheduled for Friday, March 20, 1987 at 7 : 00 P.M..:aat the Southold Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York. Group inspections are set for Friday, March 20 , 1987 . -• : The council members will meet at 2 : 00 P.M'. at the Southold Town Hall. There being no further business to come before the Council on a motion made by John Tuthill, secodned,iby John--Holzapfel, it was RESOLVED to adjourn the meeting of theSouthold Town conservation Adviosry Couoncil at 9 : 55 P.M.
