SOUTHOLD TOWN CONSERVATION ADVISORY COUNCIL a THURSDAY, JULY 16, 1998 5:00 P.M. A meeting of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council was held Thursday, July 16, 1998 at 5:00 P.M. in the Conference Room at Southold Town Hall, 53095 Main Road, Southold, New York. Present were: Scott Hilary, CAC Chairman Mary Griffin, CAC Member Kenneth Meskill, CAC Member Sharon Shine, CAC Member Linda Cooper, CAC Secretary Absent were: Bret Hedges, CAC Member Melvyn Morris, CAC Member CHAIRMAN'S ANNOUNCEMENTS Chairman Scott Hilary reported on the past Trustee meeting which he attended. He expressed concern that there are no controls over agencies (i.e. SCWA) when doing work; •no control over runoff or protection of fragile environmental areas. a REPORTS Kenneth Meskill is continuing to work on the osprey project. SPECIAL GUEST Valerie Scopaz, Southold Town Principal Planner, spoke to the Council about the Peconic Estuary System restoration program. She asked the CAC to suggest any properties to be added for consideration. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Moved by Kenneth Meskill, seconded by Sharon Shine, it was RESOLVED to approved the minutes of June 22, 1998 as submitted v 1,� July 16, 1998 Vote of Council: Ayes: All Motion Carried RECOMMENDATION OF WETLAND PERMIT AND COASTAL EROSION PERMIT APPLICATIONS No. 1577 Moved by Kenneth Meskill, seconded by Mary Griffin, it was RESOLVED to TABLE the Wetland Permit Application of RALPH and ALBA RAGUCCI 113-9-10.1 to construct a raised walkway, ramp, and floating dock. R.O.W. off Westphalia Road, Mattituck Application was tabled because members were unable to locate parcel to make an inspection. Better directions (i.e. LILCO pole numbers, etc) are needed. Vote of Council: Ayes: All Motion Carried No. 1578 Moved by Mary Griffin, seconded by Kenneth Meskill, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVAL of the Wetland Permit Application of LORRIANE WOLFF and JOSEPH BAJADA 126-11-16 to elevate existing dwelling and excavate below for new basement and foundation; existing dwelling to remain at present location; new one story additions on the northeast and northwest side of existing dwelling. 7972 Peconic Bay Blvd., Laurel Vote of Council: Ayes: All Motion Carried No. 1579 Moved by Scott Hilary, seconded by Sharon Shine, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVAL of the Wetland Permit Application of PREM C. CHATPAR and THERESA PRENDERGAST 90-2-9.1 to rebuild a 1 1/2 story garage/family room/library. 680 Midway Road, Cedar Beach Park, Southold Vote of Council: Ayes: All Motion Carried SET NEXT MEETING DATE The next meeting of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council will be Monday, August 24, 1998 at 4:30 P.M. in the Conference Room at Southold Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York.
