December 29, 1972 #2850 Peconic Lane Peconic, New York Tax Roll: Walter Hairston and wife R-2 Attached apartment rear of main residence Unoccupied Upon request of .the Southold Town Building Department, I made inspection of this two story one.bedroom.framed dwelling and.found the following violations of Local.Law #1, Housing Code, Town of Southold. I was admitted to south entrance by Mr. Hairston and began inspection at approximately 1:25 p.m. Kitchen: New flooring had just been installed, refrigerator and range were not in place but are being furnished by Mr. Hairston. Stairway to second floor: No light switch before ascen ing stairs - Section 2.15c. .(per..Mr. Hairston, a pull chain will be provided to control light in hallway on second floor providing light for stairway.) This apartment is heated.by a standing floor model type space heater (#1 fuel oil) which provides heat to second story bedroom thru grilled opening in living room ceiling.
