Building Inspector Housing Code Inspection February 22, 1978 #965 Cedar Lane R-1 Southold, NY Tax Roll: George Schmidt & wf occupied, Tenant, Mrs. Moses Upon receipt of an application for a Pre -Existing Certificate of Occupancy I made an inspection of the building on this premises. I was admitted by Mrs. Moses and began this inspection at approximately 1:50 P•M. This dwelling is a one story wood framed structure and contains three bedrooms, a living room, bathroom, kitchen, front entry hall- way and an attached one car garage. Heat is furnished to all rooms from air oil fired forced warm air furnace located in cellar of buildings cement block foundation. The following violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52, Code of the Town of Southold, N.Y. were found: Entry -hallway, no means of controlling light in room at point of entry. Article V, Section 52-56 B.2. Sewa a -waste line from laundry fixtures connected to sewage drainage system on cesspool side of house trap. Article V, Section 52-51 C.1. Exits- Windows in two bedrooms at north end of building are set to high from floor, and do not provide adequate openings for emergency use since they are of the jalousie type. Article V, .Section 52-28 A.B.C. Inspection completed at approximately 2:10 P.M. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal—(S-9 form or equal). 3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters. 4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building. 5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable. B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non -conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing" land uses: 1. Accurate survey of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings. 3.
