To the Town of Southold:
Because our property abuts Great Pond,Town of Southold, I am writing to let you know that we have
applied to the Southold Town Zoning Board of Appeals for a Special Exception Permit to establish an
Accessory Apartment in an existing structure. We have requested this permit in order to convert our
detached one car,one story garage into an apartment for my mother,who must live close by for care.
The proposed project converts the existing garage structure with no additions. It does not alter land
contours and requires no driveway additions. Files related to this application are enclosed.
The public hearing for this request will be held on Thursday, March 3,2022 at 1:20 PM.The hearing will
be in person at the Town Hall,53095 Main Road,Southold.You will also be able to access the hearing
remotely via Zoom webinar. Instructions to attend remotely and make comments will be on the Town's
meeting agenda at http://southoldtownny.gov/agendacenter.the link to the Zoom webinar meeting will
be at http://southoldtownny.gov/calendar.aspx.
You may also submit written comment related to this application prior to the meeting via email to
