I am pleased to note that the Town of Southold has contracted with USDAs Natural Resource Conservation Service(NRCS) and NYS Dept of Agriculture and Markets for funding to carry out this work. The funding is now in place and today Town-contracted engineers began surveying the dike and surrounding areas to draw up the final specifications for the project. In addition to my farm, I believe there are four more farms covered under this project, including Salt Air Farm also in Cutchogue and three more in East Marion and Orient. The Town and I expect to sign a ten year maintenance easement as part of this project, for which I believe I will need a Trustee permit. For more information on this project you may contact the Town Engineer and the engineer contracted to draw up the specs Chris Dwyer of Maclean Assoc. Please let me know if you need additional information or if the Board would like to meet with me about the work proposed for my farm. _ AFL C , i 4p v 0 . 21 41 eLe I . ros A d.- f e u i S e►oP 6. s 43 S t.;, o C4;-,5 a e .. • rte' `i (I- 2 ` I`/ 6 .
