SCTM# 1000-24-2-14 Owner: Joyce Holzapfel RESOLUTION: WHEREAS, 1490 Village Lane, Orient,New York is on the Town of Southold Registry of Historic Landmarks, and WHEREAS, as set forth in Section 56-7 (b) of the Town Law(Landmarks Preservation Code) of the Town of Southold, all proposals for material J change/alteration must be reviewed and granted a Certificate of Appropriateness by the Southold Town Historic Preservation Commission prior to the issuance of a Building Permit; and WHEREAS, the applicant's architect, Anthony Portillo of AMP Architecture, submitted a proposal of additions and alterations to the existing single-family dwelling; WHEREAS, the scope of work includes a modified sunroom and kitchen; and the addition of a 60 sq. ft. rear wood deck and a 48 sq. ft. mudroom, as applied for. The proposed mudroom will be built on the west side of the house and be partially visible from Village Lane; and WHEREAS, the Architect presented commissioners with an outline of the project during pre-submission conferences on October 28, 2021 and November 23, 2021; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on December 9, 2021,where the applicant and their architect submitted final drawings of the scope of work and outlined Certificate of Appropriateness HPC,Holzapfel SCTM No. 1000-24-2-14 Page 2 by Anthony,,Portillo, Architect, (Sheets SD-1 and SD-2) dated November 19, 2021; and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the Southold Town Historic Preservation Commission determines that the proposed work detailed in the above referenced application meets the criteria for approval under Section 170-8 (A) of the Southold Town Code; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, it is agreed that if the applicant chooses to make changes to the design or materials being used for the improvements,that he/she shall re- appear before this Commission and seek approval for such change; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Commission approves the request for a Certificate of Appropriateness.
