Dear Mr. Motta:
:The Southold Town Trustee Michael Domino reviewed the proposed site plan created
by A-1 Community.Cesspool Services, Inc. on the survey prepared by Adrian S. Lalsa
L.S., last dated 09/07/2'1,'and determined that the proposed replacement_ of the existing
block cesspool sanitary system with a new septic tank and leaching pool is out of the
Wetland jurisdiction under Chapter 275 of the Town Wetland Code and Chapter 111 of
the Town Code.
Therefore, in accordance with the current Wetlands Code (Chapter 275) and the
Coastal Erosion Hazard Area (Chapter 111) no permit is required.'
Please be advised, however, that no clearing, no removal of vegetation, no cut or
fill of land or removal of sod, no construction, sedimentation, or disturbance of
any kind may take place within 100' landward from the top of the bluff, or seaward
of the tidal and/or freshwater wetlands jurisdictional boundary or seaward of the
coastal erosion hazard area as indicated above, without further authorization
from the Southold Town Board of Trustees pursuant to Chapter 275 and/or
Chapter 111 of the Town Code.
It is your responsibility to ensure that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent any
sedimentation or other alteration or disturbance to the ground surface or vegetation

within Tidal Wetlands jurisdiction and Coastal Erosion Hazard Area, which may result
from your project. Such precautions may include maintaining adequate work area
between the tidal wetland jurisdictional boundary and the coastal erosion hazard area
and your project or erecting a temporary fence, barrier, or hay bale berm.
This determination is not a determination from any other agency_

I understand, but the survey you sent me does not show where the current septic is. Can you explain where on the
property it is? The area Trustee cannot sign off on a plan that does not show the location of the existing/proposed if
proposed is going in same location as existing.

Hi Elizabeth,for this property,we will not be seeking Suffolk County Dept of Health approval.This is just a retrofit to the
existing septic system that is failing. No renovations are planned for this home. We will be replacing a block cesspool

that is failing with a new septic tank and leaching pool. In the past with the board of trustees while doing a scdhs ship
portal entry we were granted the approval from the town of Southold building dept and the board of trustees once the
septic system is proved to be proposed over 100'from any wetlands.

Mr. Motta,
Regarding your request there are a few requirements that must be submitted either via USPS, UPS/Fed Ex or dropped
off to this office prior to a determination. The survey does not depict where the proposed I/A system is to be located
and whether the location meets the Suffolk County Dept. of Health's requirements for installation (location, etc). Please
submit the proposed site plan depicting the location which you will need for S.C. Health Dept. approval. Also, along with
the site plan, please submit in writing the information below(including property owner name and street address),your
company's name/information, as well as written owner's authorization for the Trustees to enter onto the property and
for your company to act as"agent"for the owner. A$50.00 fee is required for a request for a Letter of Non-Jurisdiction
(check made payable to Town of Southold).
If you like I can forward you authorization forms for the property owner to complete.

We are requesting a non-jurisdictional letter of some kind to confirm that a nitrogen reducing septic system is not
mandated for the above referenced property.
You with find the attached survey of the property with a recent wetlands staking.
Where the proposed septic system will be place it will be over 100 feet from the wetland boundary line.
