SCTM# 1000-17.-6-8 Owner: Peter and Irene Treiber RESOLUTION: WIMREAS, 405 Racketts Court, Orient,New York is on the Town of Southold Registry of Historic Landmarks, and WHEREAS, as set forth in Section 56-7 (b) of the Town Law(Landmarks Preservation Code) of the Town of Southold, all proposals for material change/alteration must be reviewed and granted a Certificate of Appropriateness by the Southold Town Historic Preservation Commission prior to the issuance of a Building Permit; and Vv'MREAS, the applicant's architect, Anthony Portillo of AMP Architecture, submitted a proposal of additions and alterations to the existing single-family dwelling; WHEREAS, the scope of work includes an increase of square footage to_the.first and second-floor measuring 740 sq. ft. with an attached front covered porch measuring 100 sq. ft., as applied for; and WHEREAS, the Architect presented commissioners with an outline of the project during pre-submission conferences on September 30, 2021 and October 28, 2021; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on November 23, 2021, where the applicant and their architect submitted final drawings of the scope of work and outlined the project for the commission as shown on Architectural Plans (Sheets SD-1 thru SD-8) dated October 4, 2021; and Certificate of Appropriateness HPC,Treiber SCTM No. 1000-17-6-8 Page 2 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the Southold Town Historic Preservation Commission determines that the proposed work detailed in the above referenced application meets the criteria for approval under Section 170-8 (A) of the Southold Town Code; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Commission approves the request for a Certificate of Appropriateness.
