Dear Mr. Verity,
I hereby state that it is my professional opinion that the subject plans comply with the 2020 Residential
Code of New York State,the 2017 National Electric Code,ASCE 7-16,and NFPA-70.I have evaluated the
structural framing of the existing roof with the additional loading to account for the proposed solar panel
application and have determined that it complies with the requirements of these codes.The deflection and
stresses of the structural components are within the allowable limits for wind pressures from 130 mph,3
second gust, Exposure B with a ground snow load of 20 pounds per square foot. Mounting locations,
installation details,and superimposed loads are as indicated in the submitted plans and the specified
mounting system has been determined to be adequate to resist the uplift pressure from the solar panels.
