HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrient Realty LLC - 675 Skippers Ln out Unigte Mariella Ostroski,Chairperson r � Town Hall Annex Anne Surchm,Vice Chair SGUTkCLOF r 54375 Route 25 Ted Webb "�'yOAK ;, PO Box 1179 Robert Harper = rounded _ ''�' o Southold,NY 11971 Joseph McCarthy No iota � Fax(631)765-9502 Fabiola Santana 9'�Aoo�g Telephone: (631)765-1802 Tracey Dwyer,Administrative Assistant RESERVATION www.southoldtownny.gov Town of Southold Historic Preservation Commission March 10,2021 RESOLUTION #03.10.21.1 Certificate of Appropriateness RE: 675 Skippers Lane,Orient,NY, SCTM# 1000-24.-2-1 Owner: Orient Realty LLC RESOLUTION: WHEREAS, 675 Skippers Lane, Orient,NY is on the Town of Southold Registry of Historic Landmarks, and WHEREAS, as set forth in Section 56-7 (b)of the Town Law(Landmarks Preservation Code) of the Town of Southold, all proposals for material change/alteration must be reviewed and granted a Certificate of Appropriateness by the Southold Town Historic Preservation Commission prior to the issuance of a Building Permit, and, WHEREAS, the applicants architect Elizabeth Rexrode submitted a proposal to amend an approved Historic Preservation Commission Certificate of Occupancy outlining the scope of work,which included the construction of a porch addition with bilco door and raised shingled terrace with trim board,top rail,and edge casings as applied for,and, WHEREAS, the proposal includes the approval of reverting back to three double hung windows on the west elevation, lowering the position of one window on the north elevation,the location of a generator,the relocation of mechanical hvac condensers and the relocation of the electric meter as applied for,and, WHEREAS, the architect presented commissioners with an outline of the project during a pre- submission conference on January 4, 2021, and, WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on March 10,2021,where the applicants and their architect submitted final drawings of the scope of work and outlined the project for the commission,and, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the Southold Town Historic Preservation Commission determines that the proposed work detailed in the above referenced application meets the criteria for approval under Section 170-8(A)of the Southold Town Code and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Commission approves the request for a Certificate of Appropriateness.
